town history
founded in 1898 by theodore grimrose, grimrose quickly flourished under his oversight. he promoted the town as a beautiful destination for travelers and took advantage by building it up into an area people could put down roots and call home. it is located just along the northern east side of the rocky mountains.

family rules
once a family is claimed you are not allowed to bring a member of that family or write associations with that family without approval of the family holder. this includes their businesses and histories. please get with them to plan anything out.

magic, ghosts, supernatural
it should be noted that while all characters are human their lives are affected daily by the inhuman aspects of the town. characters can shift from humans to something else during a plot or assigned happening but nothing is permanent and your character will always revert back to a normal human. as for magic we don't mind if characters are a tad psychic, use the town's unique energy to perform minor spells, speak with the dead, etc. characters are not full blown witches or wizards.

the lore
grimrose is one giant mystery, even to most of the locals. there are various theories about why grimrose the way it is but nothing has ever been proven. it could be a magic spell or curse, mysterious effects of an unrecorded meteorite, or it could even sit on something resembling a hell mouth. the grimrose historical society is always researching to find answers.

memory loss
grimrose has one issue that has hindered the progression of unraveling it's mystery for over a century: once a local or tourist step foot outside of the town, their memories are wiped clean of any and all supernatural run-ins they may have had there. videos posted to tiktoks and youtube are viewed as nothing more than entertainment. grimrose does have a reputation outside of the town for being a bit of a gimmick, even haunted. but the reality is believed by no one, not until the come see for themselves.
